What it is

A small image collection with a physical tabletop rhythm.

Image Deck uses overlap, rotation, and depth to make a group of images feel like a physical stack. The last image sits on top by default, while every card remains directly selectable.

Design decisions

How the stack stays readable while preserving its physical character.

Horizontal stack

The cards spread from a shared center rather than becoming a regular gallery, keeping the deck relationship visible.

Ordered depth

Each card receives its stacking order from its position in the source list. The final image is the top card.

FLIP lightbox

The focused image is measured from the clicked card’s center, then scales and translates to the viewport. Closing re-measures the card and returns to its current position.

Reduced motion

When reduced motion is preferred, the deck appears in place and the lightbox opens without the spatial transition.
